hey folks, welcome back! sharing some thoughts from my side of the world:
i thought Y Combinator’s request for startups was super interesting. here’s a quick summary i put together.
i’ve been investing a lot of effort on linkedin over the past few months, really grateful to have recently passed 100K followers. join me there! learned a lot about the linkedin algorithm as i’ve been posting there, it’s been a fun project.
just came back from san francisco and new york city. met up with a bunch of portfolio founders and investors while i was there. most of the time i was hosting events, we had 3 next play events in both cities which was a blast. some of them were themed around just people looking to start, some just people looking to join things next, and others a mix of both. always welcome to apply here.
i also organized a happy hour for the notion angel group (current/former Notion people who angel invest in some capacity) group of us here. we had an AMA with jack altman a few weeks ago which was super fun and next up we have an AMA with elad gil in early december.
next play has been growing a lot! recently launched a campus version of the newsletter which has almost 10K subscribers now. the main newsletter is approaching 40K subscribers. best part is just last week someone told me they started a company with someone they saw in the newsletter and someone else told me they joined a startup they saw in it. starting to get a lot more messages like this, exciting!
im starting to read Lee Kuan Yew’s book about the story of building Singapore.
airalo is hands down the most useful app I use when i’m traveling. i use it every time i go somewhere to buy an e-sim for local data. very reasonable pricing
perplexity launched a new shopping feature last week, they asked me to share a few products I like, here’s my list
feel free to respond directly, goes to me!
Can you share more about the LinkedIn algorithm?
Hi! Have you checked eSIM offers in the Revolut app?
